NONVIOLENT DIRECT ACTION TRAINING

AUGUST 19

SAN DIEGO CONVENTION CENTER

They have money and weapons. We have each other—and that’s how we win.

Join the San Diego & Imperial Counties Labor Council, AFL-CIO and the UCSD Labor Center for a free, hands-on training to learn the skills we need to:

✊🏾✊🏿✊🏼 Organize our workplaces and communities
🚫 Disrupt injustice—from ICE raids to corporate greed
💪🏽💪🏿💪🏼 Protect each other through strategic, nonviolent action

Why now?

  • Billionaires are stealing $4.5 trillion from our schools, hospitals, all of us in the “Big Beautiful Bill”

  • ICE’s unchecked violence is terrorizing families in our backyards

  • Our movements are strongest when we fight together

This isn’t just a workshop—it’s how we build a people’s army for justice.

Safety Notice for Nonviolent Direct Action Training

This training involves strategies for resisting injustice, including potential encounters with law enforcement or ICE.

If you are not a U.S. citizen or permanent resident, we strongly advise carefully considering the risks before participating. ICE has escalated arrests, and even legal observers have been detained. Your safety comes first.

For those at higher risk, we encourage supporting this work in other ways—such as legal advocacy, fundraising, or community education—where the risk of direct exposure is lower.

We stand in solidarity with all workers and immigrants, regardless of status. If you have concerns, please reach out to us privately for alternative ways to get involved.
